Qualifications
Tanya's academic background, work experience and love for sports makes her one of the most qualified and sought after Fitness and Personal Trainers in the world. Tanya completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) in Canada in 1993. Later, she completed her Chiropractic Qualifications in Melbourne, Australia in 2003 where she received an Academic Excellence award and became the Graduate of the Year.

A Lifetime of Love with Fitness
Tanya can not remember a time in her life when she was not physically active; she was always outdoors, always doing sports. "I have been figure skating since I was 4 years old, competed nationally in synchronized skating and achieved Gold level in ice dancing. I was also on the varsity team at university in Canada for 3 years. As a child I played baseball and swimming in summer, ice skating and snow skiing in the winter. During school I played basketball, volleyball, athletics, high jump, field hockey and was on the swim team. In Australia I played water polo, mixed indoor netball and ran the Melbourne Marathon 2000, several half marathons and many triathlons."

Work Experience
Tanya has been teaching fitness classes since 1993. She worked as a personal trainer and gym instructor at an exclusive corporate fitness centre in Canada and worked as an exercise rehabilitative therapist in two multi-disciplinary clinics for two years. In Australia, she worked at Mill Park YMCA as fitness/health counselor and personal trainer.

With more than 12 years of experience in Fitness and Personal training, she has worked with clients in a variety of areas such as core fitness, weight loss, knee, neck and low back injury rehabilitation, fit ball exercises, pre natal and sport specific training. Tanya has also been featured in two fitness DVD programs 'Perfect Spine™' and 'Strengthen your Back and Neck for Life™' which were specifically designed to be used by healthcare practitioners. She is currently practicing in Australia where she integrates chiropractic treatments with personal fitness training.

In our exercise DVD programs, Tanya will lead you step by step through your core exercise and stretch workouts. Her encouraging approach to personal training is a very effective way to make core training part of your total fitness plan.
